The pipeline is active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yet\u2026 you\u2019re still not seeing the right candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most common bottlenecks I hear from technical hiring managers sounds like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe don\u2019t really know how to assess candidates for this role.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And honestly, it makes total sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roles like these often require <em>specialized<\/em> technical expertise that generalist recruiters \u2014 even very strong internal ones \u2014 simply haven\u2019t had a reason to develop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A cloud infrastructure architect with migration experience across hybrid environments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cybersecurity leader who can bridge the gap between technical risk and executive reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A D365 expert who understands both finance and manufacturing workflows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These aren\u2019t surface-level hires. And if no one on your team has done that kind of work before, how can they be expected to confidently screen for it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why This Happens \u2014 And What To Do About It<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most internal talent teams are set up to manage <em>scale<\/em>, not necessarily <em>specialization<\/em>. It\u2019s about knowing when (and where) to supplement it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TL;DR:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your internal team is great at recruiting \u2014 but stretched thin or unsure how
